You’nity Dance gathering is a facilitated experience of personal connection to one’s embodied self, while sharing in intentional communal space.  Through the opening circle’s  intention setting and consensual agreements, dancers are invited to playfully move beyond thoughts of how the body looks to the outside gaze and get curious about how our bodies may want to move us.  This dance container is unique in that we emphasize not dancing with others so that everyone can have this time to dance with themselves. Each participant is invited to dance their own unique journey, focusing on moving the body  however inspired to in the moment while respecting the physical and energetic domains of their fellow dancers. By doing so, we release the expectation or story of having to move "beautifully" and tap into the body’s innate wisdoms with raw, connected, compassionate, and expressive movement.

In this offering, the sounds and music curated by DJ Saffire  Bouchelion are designed to allow varied ways of movement so that participants can feel safe to tap into somatic experience. WOVEN will be curating a loose herbal tea bar focused on themes of both autumn and the waining moon where participants can either create their own unique infusions or sample custom premade blends to honor and celebrate their body.  The experience then winds down with time for facilitated integration and an opportunity after to connect with other dancers should you feel called to do so before departing.

Facilitated by WOVEN members
