The purpose of WOVEN’s Evolving through Grief program
is to provide support for communal grieving through grief offerings that align with WOVEN’s guiding purpose:
fostering wholeness through creative expression, human connection, and community support.

Recipients must be residents of Lane County. They can receive up to $500 to fund attendance in a support group, participation in communal grief ritual or retreat, personal creative expression for processing grief, or to access other spaces that support grieving.

WOVEN invites nominations, including self-nominations.

Submissions will be reviewed by a committee of WOVEN leaders. The criteria for selection include:
-
Demonstrated financial need
-
Access/barriers to grief support
-
Alignment with WOVEN’s purpose and values
-
Feasibility

WOVEN will follow up with the person who submitted the nomination by August 1. Evolving Through Grief gift recipients will be announced by September 1, 2024. Whenever possible, payment will be made directly to the identified grief support program(s), on behalf of the recipient.

If you apply and do not receive a financial gift, WOVEN still intends to connect you with support for grieving that might be aligned with your needs. We honor the time and vulnerability required to engage in this nomination process.
